    Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA)

The Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA) is a prestigious initiative of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) aimed at fostering interest in space science, technology, and research among school students. The programme provides students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to various aspects of space science while interacting with eminent scientists and experts in the field.

We are delighted and proud to share that Arisha Tahani, a student of Class X, Kendriya Vidyalaya NIT Silchar, was selected to participate in the Young Scientist Programme (YUVIKA) organized by ISRO, Bengaluru.

During the programme, she had the opportunity to interact with renowned scientists, visit state-of-the-art space research and technology facilities, and gain valuable insights into stars, satellites, and various space missions. She also learned about satellite design and testing processes, space technology, and the different aspects of India’s ambitious Gaganyaan Mission.

Demonstrating her creativity and scientific temperament, Arisha developed models of a rocket, a robot, and Chandrayaan-3, reflecting her curiosity, innovative thinking, and keen interest in science and technology.

This remarkable achievement is a matter of great pride for the school and serves as an inspiration to other students. Her success encourages young learners to pursue excellence in the fields of science, technology, and space research and motivates them to aspire to greater heights.
