The Scout & Guides movement is a global initiative aimed at nurturing the physical, mental, and spiritual development of young people through outdoor activities, community service, and personal growth. Founded by Robert Baden-Powell in 1907 and his sister Agnes Baden-Powell in 1910, these organizations quickly gained popularity worldwide, inspiring similar groups in many countries. Kendriya Vidyalaya NIT Silchar actively participates in this movement, with students engaging in Pratham and Dwitiya Sopan competitions, showcasing their skills in knot-tying, camping, first aid, and community service. They also represent their school at the regional level in competitions like Tritiya and Rajyapuroskar, demonstrating high skill and dedication. Involvement in the Scout and Guide movement fosters individual growth while instilling values of leadership, teamwork, and service, contributing to the holistic development of students.
